Asparagus & Mushroom with Wagyu Bacon


 

The star of this dish is our American Wagyu beef bacon. Cured for seven days in a secret blend of salt and spice, our beef bacon is one of a kind. With a heartier texture than pork bacon, the flavor is much more intense in the best way possible! Asparagus and Mushrooms with Bacon

Ingredients

  • 1 bunch of asparagus
  • 1 4oz container mushrooms
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 shallot
  • 2 slices beef bacon
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. Remove the course stem from the lower 1/4 of 1 bunch of asparagus.
  2. Bring a pot of salted water to a boil, add asparagus, remove after 15 seconds, and place in ice water.
  3. To a cold pan add 2 pieces of sliced Black Hawk Beef bacon. Once rendered add minced shallots, garlic, and sliced mushrooms (baby bella, porcini, cremini or button.
  4. Cook until fragrant and mushrooms have released moisture. add asparagus to pan and season with salt and pepper.
