Pepper Steak


 

One of the main reasons we love our American Wagyu steak tips is because of how versatile they can be. This dish is a familiar favorite at any Chinese restaurant. Surprisingly enough, it is very easy to make at home! With just a few ingredients, you can whip this recipe up in under 30 minutes!

Ingredients

Pepper Steak
  • 1 lb BHF steak tips
  • 1 red bell pepper sliced thin
  • 1/2 onion sliced thin
  • 1 tbsp grated fresh ginger
  • 1 tbsp grated fresh garlic
  • 1 tsp brown sugar
  • 2 oz cornstarch slurry (1 oz cornstarch, 1 oz water)
The Sauce
  • 1/2 cup oyster sauce
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1 lime juiced
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 2 oz rice wine vinegar
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp MSG
  • 1 tbsp chopped ginger
  • 2 garlic cloves

Instructions

  1. For the sauce: Add all ingredients to a blender and blend
  2. In a large saute pan, add neutral oil and turn pan to high
  3. Add in the peppers and onions
  4. Once the peppers and onions become fragrant add the garlic and ginger. Cook for 1 minute
  5. Season the steak tips with salt and brown sugar
  6. Add steak tips to pan and cook for 2 minutes
  7. Add in the sauce and then the cornstarch slurry
  8. Cook until sauce thickens
  9. Serve with steamed rice
