As a small family business, we put a lot of effort into raising the best quality beef possible on our farm, processing it with the utmost care, and shipping it to your home for you to enjoy.

SHIPPING INFORMATION

In order to ensure the best quality of delivered products, our butchers age, cut, vacuum-seal and immediately blast freeze each item. This protects and preserves your steaks and does not compromise their quality in any way. Each item is shipped individually shrink-wrapped, labeled and frozen in an insulated box with gel packs and dry ice. We ship all orders on Mondays and Wednesdays to ensure two-day delivery. Orders must be placed by midnight on Tuesday for same-week delivery.

When Your Package Arrives

Upon arrival, please remove and inspect all contents from the package immediately and refrigerate or freeze your beef for later enjoyment. Please be careful when unpacking your box – each order is packed with dry ice in the most eco-friendly insulated packaging we can find to make sure your products are safe to consume when they arrive. Dry ice is extremely cold (-109F), so please avoid touching it with your bare hands. If you want to remove the dry ice from the package, use gloves or a towel to handle it. To dispose of the dry ice, place it outside and it will evaporate within 24 hours. Keep out of reach of pets and children.

Although we have carefully packed your box to ensure it remains frozen throughout its journey, please carefully inspect all items to verify they are in proper condition. If refrigerating your meat, we suggest consuming within 3-5 days. Stored in a freezer, your beef will keep for up to 1 year.

Recycling

Our packaging is recyclable and reusable. The outer shipper may be reused or placed in ordinary recycling. For the interior insulation, simply remove and recycle the wrap and place the filler in your compost.

RETURN POLICY

Our goal is to ensure each and every customer experiences the utmost quality and service from start to finish during the delivery process. Part of that commitment is working with you, the customer, to make certain your order arrives in perfect condition and in a timely manner. In the event that we fall short of your expectations, please contact us at info@blackhawkmeats.us within 15 days of receiving your order. 

Since the shipping of our products is inherently time-sensitive, we do not accept returns to our fulfillment center. If you received a product that did not meet Black Hawk Farms standards, our customer service representatives will work with you to create an equitable outcome. This may require photos of the product for our internal records and insurance requirements, but the review process will begin immediately upon being contacted.

We will reply within 24 hours, with a complete resolution achieved within a week. The options for resolution include but are not limited to a replacement shipment or store credit to be used towards any new products.
