American Wagyu Smash Burgers

Most people assume Wagyu beef is only used for romantic dinners out or special occasions. Perhaps your favorite steakhouse has that fancy Wagyu ribeye topped with bone marrow butter that you get to enjoy once a year? Don’t get us wrong, those dinners are absolutely delicious, but Wagyu beef can be enjoyed even in the simplest of dishes and can take your meal to the next level. Take our American Wagyu smash burgers for example.

Step 1: Smash Sauce

The key to every great Smash Burger lies in the smash sauce. Ours is made with a delicious blend of Duke’s mayo, Colman’s mustard, ketchup, Worcestershire and dill pickles. Pro tip - make the sauce ahead of time so the flavors blend together.

Step 2: SMASH, SMASH, SMASH

Using a stiff spatula, smash the burgers as thin as possible. This creates a crispy burger crust which is a key component to every great smash burger.

Step 3: Double Trouble

After flipping the patties, you’ll want to add cheese to each one. We recommend Kraft Single’s Deluxe. Once they are perfectly melted, stack your patties and toast your Martin's potato rolls.

Step 4: Dress and Enjoy!

After removing the buns from the grill, you’ll want to dress the bottom bun with a generous layer of smash sauce… the more the better! Finally, top the bun with the patties, add the crown and enjoy!
